Our NORMACONNECT® FGR GRIP/GRIP E axial restraint pipe couplings are used to connect plain-ended metal pipes (e.g., steel, stainless steel, copper or cast iron). We offer versions with hollow trunnions (GRIP E) and with full trunnions (GRIP), depending on the pipe dimension. The metal pipe connectors come with an anchoring ring with conically stamped teeth, that indent into the pipe surface, ensuring safe and strong axial restraint. The FGR GRIP/GRIP E can be used for example as a gas pipe connector, water pipe connector and in many more applications. Thanks to its special design, the coupling can withstand even high vibration loads, which can be crucial in applications like shipbuilding. Our broad range of product certifications mean worry-free installation without subsequent complaints or damage, driving satisfaction for you and your customers.

What you will love!

  • Progressive locking effect ensures a trouble- and maintenance-free connection
  • Time saving installation: no welding, no pipe alignment or treatment of pipe ends necessary
  • Weight saving: up to 70% less weight compared to flange connection
  • Space saving: can be installed in areas which are hard to access
  • Compensation of pipe tolerances and compensation for angular deflection
  • No galvanic corrosion when connecting two pipes with different types of metal
  • Progressive locking effect ensures a trouble- and maintenance-free connection
  • Reusable connector
  • High shock resistance and withstanding high vibration loads
  • Can be used in ATEX areas

Did you know?

The NORMACONNECT® FGR with our optionally available FKM sealing sleeve is the world’s first FGR pipe coupling suitable for saturated steam up to 150 °C.

Where can you use it?

  • For axial-tensile connections of energy and supply lines, such as water pipes, gas pipes and media carrying lines (fluid, solid or gaseous) in sanitary technology, technical building equipment, plant construction, industrial plants and shipbuilding.
